This is a slot starring the recurring character John Hunter who is the Indiana Jones type hero that goes exploring in Pragmatic Play slots.

This time the setting is the Mayan Empire and as usual John Hunter is out looking for treasure.

The setup for this slot machine is pretty standard with there being 5 reels and 25 paylines. The RTP is also pretty standard but decent at 96%. Volatility wise we are looking at a high volatility slot machine with the payout potential being decent if not spectacular at 2500x your bet.

The base game is not that exciting but trigger the free spin mode by landing 3 or more scatter (temple) symbols on the reels and this slot suddenly becomes a lot more interesting.

Not only do you get expanding wilds that come into play but as well as granting you extra free spins symbols are upgraded. You can see the progress above the reels and when you manage to achieve the maximum number of upgrades you can really land some very good wins.

Obviously this will not happen every time but in our opinion despite John Hunter and the Mayan Gods being a high volatility slot machine it still gives out plenty of wins and triggers the free spins on a fairly regular basis.
